Maya Coffee is proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated. Maya Coffee purchases fair trade and fairly traded beans to help support the small scale farmers of Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru.
We feature 100% pure Arábica coffee from Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Hawaii, as well as organic Yerba Mate from Argentina. Our coffee is hand-picked, sun-dried and high-mountain-grown; custom-roasted in small batches; and packaged in sealed valve bags. Maya Coffee is grown among fruit trees on mountain ranges, which is an optimal growing environment. We use substantially less pesticide and chemical fertilizer than the larger estate coffee farmers. Maya Certified Organic Coffee is grown in Bolivia and is certified organic by third party agronomists. This organic coffee is grown by indigenous Aymara farmers in the region of Los Yungas, La Paz.
Maya Decaffeinated Coffee is decaffeinated in Vancouver BC, using the SWISS WATER® process. The 100% chemical free, unique and patented SWISS WATER® decaffeination process maintains the coffees' distinct origin characteristics. As one of the only decaffeination processes in the world with organic certification, the SWISS WATER® Process signifies health, great taste, and quality. Look for the SWISS WATER® logo, certifying 100% chemical free decaffeinated coffee.
